From dawn to dusk,
I might just love you
with open eyes,
with an open mind.
If I give you my trust,
might you construe
my love as a guise
for a lust once shrined?

So I'll sing you a song,
I'll sing you a song,
from dawn till dusk.
I'll sing you a song,
I'll sing you a song,
so sweet and calm.

My heart is weak
but my head is strong.
Might our cores speak
if I sing you this song,

Or are you caught
in a push and pull
between what I will not
and desires you fuel?

So I'll sing you a song,
I'll sing you a song,
from dawn till dusk.
I'll sing you a song,
I'll sing you a song,
so sweet and calm.

So sweet and calm
when like this we lie
silently side by side.
Your zeal is tamed,
but for how long
must I sing this song
to curb a crooked flame?

Because in the end,
dusk will shadow dawn.
When my melody ends,
all reason is drawn.

And then you surround me,
so sweet and calm,
so sweet and calm,
from dusk till dawn.
