Carnivals. Hate them. Why you ask? Well keep reading my tale of woe. My carnival experience.

Last week the carnival came to town. It was the day after my birthday party so I had two friends sleep over, Marie and Nateena (Nateenka). We went to the parade first thing in the morning, but what everyone was waiting for was the rides. Except for me. I was dreading the rides the most.

As the parade drew to an end we made our way to the carnival part. There was a super long line for the tickets so we got some food first.

I decided to get some poutine, for those of you who don't know what that is, it's fries with cheese and gravy. I was waiting for my food to be made for probably half an hour. After I FINALLY got my food I sat down to eat it. I took one bite and almost gagged. It was the worst thing I had ever tasted in my life! That was okay though 'cause going on rides on an empty stomach is probably better than on a full if you get what I'm saying . . .

A few moments after we went and bought our tickets. $20 for 20 tickets . . . well that's a rip off, you only get like 4 rides outta that. No matter. We were drawn to one ride that we had not seen at our carnival in years past. "The Drop Of Doom". It's that ride that goes straight up, then drops straight down. We payed our six tickets and got on the ride. It was AMAZING. Amazingly short that is. All we did was go up, and come back down then get off. It was such a rip off.

After we got off the ride my friend Alison spotted us and rushed up to us. "Kelsey, Kelsey can you PLEASE come on the 'Hurricane' with me? Kaitlyn is to afraid to . . . please?" she begged.

I couldn't say no so I went on the ride with her. After we started moving I was regretting that I ever stepped foot on that ride. It moved up and down while spinning in circles. I get motion sick very easily . . .

After we got off that ride I had to sit down. Everything was spinning and I was feeling nauseous. Twenty minutes later I was still feeling sick, but decided to get up to get a drink. I started walking and suddenly I started puking. I had to hold my hands over my mouth and run behind the carnival onto the grass. It wasn't a pretty sight.

I started feeling better and decided to go play a dart game. Three darts for $5, hit the star and win a hat. Seemed easy enough. Little did I know, but those dart tips where most likely rounded because they wouldn't stick at all. I didn't win a hat, all I did was pay some creeper $5 for nothing.

Suddenly, I saw a clown. Trying to be funny, I pointed and screamed at it. The clown kept walking away so I screamed "NO! CLOWN COME BACK I LOVE YOU COME BACK CLOWN!" The clown turned around and started waving at me. Immediately I screamed again "GO AWAY STUPID CLOWN I HATE YOU GO AWAY!" So then that very obnoxious clown said "Fine, I won't help you with your problems, brat." Then walked away, so I started screaming about how rude clowns are these days.

My point basically, is that carnivals are nothing more than over priced rides that make you sick, waiting in lines most of the time, getting a sun burn, having to put up with rude clowns, and trying to avoid some creeper trying to get kids to go into the "whale tent" for his "whale party" . . .

Waste of money, and perfectly good vomit.
