They're crushing
All about, sparkling green
Laughing at me!

In and out and black and white
But never the grey between
Crowding the time

Invisible things
Can't be seen but lurk
'Till I hunt them

Webs of ice stretch high
Timid above angry sea
Of uncomprehensible foam

Glass beauty past the rim
Untouched but for me
So very alone

Reach past the earth
Forgetting the beautiful waves
Of things I should have loved

Silence lasts a moment
Then the ring of blue strikes fear
It is too far gone

Can you not see?
Don't leave me alone!
Out here, in the black

With my glass beauty
And my invisible things
And the variables that laugh

I have things which surpass dreams
But you have
What I cannot touch
