Come to our world, our world is unique.
I hear gunshots from the Civil War.
I hear yelling from the mouths of soldiers.
Our world is different.

Come to our world, or world is deadly.
I see people dying from disease.
I see people crashing and burning from starvation.
Our world is diseased.

Come to our world, our world is multicultural.
I smell turkey from the first Thanksgiving.
I smell the scrumptious corn.
Our world is mixed.

Come to our world, our world is harsh.
I taste sweat from being worked all day.
I taste defeat from the hard day of work from being a slave.
Our world is discouraging.

Come to our world, our world is bitter.
I touch what used to be my house before the war.
I touch what used to be the battlegrounds of the Civil War
Our world is fierce.

Author's Note: This was a Social Studies assignment to describe events in history using our senses.
