I can only imagine
the pain you're in.
The sorrow,
the hurt,
the loneliness.
Let me in,
As your sister,
For there is no love stronger
than that of a mother,
Sister,
Daughter,
Brother,
or son.
You can't keep it inside,
the fear and anger,
the confusion and sadness.
Even now as you
lie to me,
I see through your facade,
Through the windows to your soul.
And sister of mine,
I just ask of you
one tiny little thing.
I love you,
so please.
Just trust me.
Author's Note: This poem was written for a friend going through some tough times. With the loss of her mom and not having a permanent home, she's torn apart. The emotion in this was . . . Strong. So I'm proud of this poem.
