"Yeah yeah, I know there are predators out there. Yes mom I KNOW. I won't give out any information don't worry now can you stop looking over my shoulder and watch everything I'm saying online?"
Most of you have probably had a similar conversation with one of your parents or a guardian and most of you do listen but believe it of not, you might be giving out to much information without even realizing it.
Sure we all know not to give out our phone numbers, last names, house addresses . . . but I bet some of you didn't know that some of the less obvious information you give out may be seriously dangerous in the wrong hands.
How many people have given out their parents names, state, province, or country? I'm guessing a few of you have.
Living in a modern age, we have so much technology . . . the Internet is a wonderful source for tracking down phone numbers, house addresses, etc.
Now I'm not going to tell you HOW stalkers/ predators can track that information down in case there is like a wanna-be stalker reading this hoping to find out some useful information, but what I'm telling you is that it's quite a simple thing to do once you have the smallest bit of information.
Don't believe that just knowing your parents names can be dangerous? Well I'm 14 years old from Canada and I personally have been able to use some of the information less popular celebrities post on the Internet into finding their phone numbers.
For example, I found Frank Dillane's phone number and house address and he lives all the way in England! For those of you who don't know who that is, he plays 16 year old Tom Marvolo Riddle in "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince".
Heck, that isn't even the only Harry Potter actor who's house address and phone number I've found! I've also found Tom Felton's, the guy who plays Draco Malfoy.
Believe it or not, I have even stalked down bounty hunters phone numbers. I found home phone numbers, house addresses and company phone number for all the bounty hunters featured in "Dog The Bounty Hunter".
I even managed to find the Jonas Brothers house on Google earth and they are MAJOR celebrities.
If a 14 year old girl could do all that, imagine what an adult child predator or stalker would be able to manage with just everyday people! All the information they could find.
It's scary.
I'm not trying to scare you into being paranoid of anyone asking you what country you live in, all I'm saying is to be careful out there.

Author's Note: No one even think about asking for the phone numbers/house addresses of the people named because under no circumstances will I EVER tell anyone what they are. Also I included the fact that I found out all that information just to show you that anyone can do it.
