Everyone wants to feel beautiful. It seems these days that beauty is all we want. Everyone wants to be pretty or skinny; more beautiful than all the rest.
Well, the way I see it, everyone is beautiful. No matter what you look like or who you are, you have beauty. Everyone's beauty is seen by someone. You might not even see it in yourself, but someone else sees beauty in you.
Lately I've been promoting a site called operationbeautiful.com. Operation Beautiful is a site devoted to ending low self esteem. It's there to make us all feel good about ourselves, no matter what we look like. We're all beautiful in some way or another. Operation Beautiful wants you to see that beauty.
The site was started by a girl who started putting up post-it notes in public bathrooms declaring, "You are beautiful!" She put them up and began to spread the word. People from all around the world began to put these notes up. That's where the project started, and it's spreading like wildfire.
I've been putting up notes everywhere lately.
I went to the library and posted notes in fashion magazines, books about eating disorders and low self esteem, and diet books. I've also put them up on mirrors in public bathrooms, and on the mirrors at my school. Me and my friend also went out in the middle of the night and made a pictures in the road that said YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, then a face, then operationbeautiful.com
Those are some pictures. I encourage you to put up notes too! Go to the website and tell your friends too!
