This is getting really frustrating. I look around me, and it seems like everyone is smiling. Why don't I get to be happy?

Sometimes I just wish like I could be like everybody else. They're all so oblivious to how much it kills me to wake up every morning. I wish I didn't know so much about that. If I had the option, I'd erase all of the nights I've cried myself to sleep from my memory. The case is the same with all of the times I cared but no one cared back.

I know it's such a stupid overused flaw - caring too much. It seems like people just say that it's their only fault because they don't want to admit to their other imperfections. I feel bad thinking that it's the biggest crease in my page, but it's actually true. I've given so much to others that I left myself with next to nothing. I can't function half empty. Nobody seems to get that, either. It feels like I'm the only person who is distraught like this.

When I turn back to the same crowd that was previously smiling, I find that they're all crying. Things can look so different when you search deeper. I regret wanting to be like the "normal" people. Being someone else doesn't make things any easier. We've all got problems. There's no escaping that.

We're all half empty. We can feel the pain of being taken down and the sorrow of being alone. Yet at the same time, we're also half full. We know that things can change for the better and that there is always something worth living for. The way you are and how you live your life relies greatly on which way you see the glass. I've been viewing it as half empty for far too long. It's time to change that.

To be honest, I don't really care if the glass is half empty or half full. It's a half a glass of something, and that's what counts.
