I stood there
Broken down
And damaged with many ink-stained words
Written across my skin

You saw me
Not just scars
But as a person who is special
Just wanting some comfort

You took me
Held my hand
And led me out of my prison cell
You were my saving grace

I was yours
You were mine
You protected me from my own self
I finally felt safe

You whispered
I love you
That moment still lingers in my head
Thank you for everything

I love you too, catcher boy
Sincerely, falling girl
