Jadechik here!
I read an article submitted by Doctor Leila the other day, and I was
just wanting to know what exactly we needed a disease centre for? Is it
to keep us updated on computer viruses? Or just for "fun"? This might
help Whyvillians to better understand the new centre, that's all!

Hi! This is cowgirl4, the disease carrier! I would just like to say that I kind of like the idea of the CDC, but the disease is kind of stupid. I'm not just saying this because I have it! I'm saying it because, do you know why most people go on Whyville? To escape from reality! So what do you do put a real disease in a make-believe town??
But it's not my choice to decide. I would also like to say that I have also seen people (not just me) get teased and bullied because they have the disease -- and you guys are saying you want to stop bullying in Whyville! Then why don't you GET RID OF THE DISEASE!!!
P.S. I'm sorry for complaining, I don't usually, but I felt like I should. I like Whyville and I just don't want to see it fall apart! Thank you!

I'm sure you've all seen or at least heard about "Why Pox"!!
I logged onto Whyville today, and say a few pink/red dots on my forehead. At first I thought I was seeing things, or it was something wrong with my computer, but then in a flash I realized. I had Why-Pox!
I then went to Pool Party to take a closer look at my face. (It's the place that your face shows up the biggest) When I got there, I saw about 10 people with even worse Why-Pox than myself. And then I saw about 3 people saying "Achoo". Even I started to say it!! (It automatically makes you say it, if you have it.)
People we're asking me how I got it, and if I was saying Achoo. It was nice to have some attention, but man, I want my clear skin back!! How am I going to get past it in peace?
If you see someone with the Why-Pox disease, it would be nice when they sneeze, please say 'bless you' or 'would you like a tissue?' Just think of ways to make them feel better. Or tell them that it will clear up soon!
Just think, if you have it now, it will clear up, and all the rest of Whyville will have it then!! And think, once it's gone, you can't get it again... just like real life chicken pox!!

This HIGHLY contagious disease is circling Whyville. Yep, that's right, that's what I said, "HIGHLY contagious". I know for a fact that Why-Pox is contagious and guess what? You're gonna get it too! YA!!
But really, I don't understand why people want the Why-Pox! Do you really want a itchy scratchy disease that makes you -- Achoo! -- sneeze all the time? I hear people saying, "Oh oh, let me come by you, I want the sickeys!" Nope, sorry, NOT GONNA HAPPEN! The only way to get Why-Pox is by "catching" them. See, Whyville, City Hall "picks" the people who get them. People are saying that you can send them in the mail? Now, I am not sure if this is true but I heard one girl say she would send them to someone if they sent her 20 clams! I ASSURE you, you are not gonna get 20 clams for a disease! No one wants to pay for -- Achoo! -- sneezes!
Note from City Hall: Actually, the Why-Pox *is* contagious! We only chose the first few infections, including myself, and then let the disease run its course. And we're not telling anyone *how* it's infectious -- you'll have to figure that one out yourselves! We do call this place Whyville, after all!
