On December 6th, I will be one year older. I'll also be one year wiser.
I never truly liked birthday parties. I like to have a small group of my most closest friends come over for cake and have fun in my basement. But now, since I'm getting older, I don't want to get older. I'll be thirteen and there is one thing I'll vow to always be.
Immature.
When I'm thirteen I don't plan to do the things the girls in my school are planning to do --
go to more parties, hang out with cooler people and watch mature drama television.
This is what I plan to do:
- Continue watching "SpongeBob", until I've memorized every line from my favorite episode.
- Hang out with the group of friends of all different age groups.
- Obsess over books with my best friend.
- Countdown the days until Major League Baseball!
- Randomly burst into song.
That's just some of the things I plan to do. I will never fall into a silly trap of "getting older means becoming mature". Sure I need to take responsibility, but I'll always remain crazy and immature.
Be who you are and don't fall victim to the pressure of "growing up".
Stay Silly,
