Every once in a while, someone will stumble into your life and change everything. Well, I know this has happened to me. Perhaps the change wasn't so drastic, but I'd be lying if I said nothing happened to me after I met my friend.
I always liked him. I adored his personality, and I was happy to see him whenever I got the chance. It didn't matter if we were only chatting for a couple of minutes, but we would talk for much longer sometimes. He never ceased to be able to make me smile, as well. He was also younger than me, and I think some of his youth rubbed off on me. Whether or not he knows that, I really have no idea.
We had only known each other for a couple of months when I first realized how important he was. I was going through a rough part in my life, and I felt so worthless and sad. Things weren't looking great for me, but I just couldn't gather the nerve to tell anyone what was going on. I was afraid to talk, but he was there for me when I finally spoke up. There were only a handful of people that I felt like I could turn to during that period of time, and he was one of them. Sure, we didn't know each other overly well, but it didn't matter. He made me smile, and I can't even begin to describe how great it felt to lighten up a bit.
So, amigo, I don't really know what to tell you right now. You've changed the way I look at my life, and for the better. I hope you never change because I think you're awesome just the way you are. Even though we are so far away, I've got a spot for you in my heart. I doubt you ever really realized the impression you left on me, but if you look into my soul, I'm sure you'll always be able to find traces of the happiness you gave me. I know it's cheesy . . . I just don't know how else to tell you the way I see you.
