Urban Decay cosmetics is known for their long lasting primer potions and deluxe shadow boxes that blow the roof off others. So in this article I am going to be talking about this wonderful brand. Unlike my earlier M-A-C article I will be writing more on the brand. Enjoy.
Urban Decay started with Sandy Lerner searching for the perfect shade of purple polish to match her "alternative" style. Unfortunately, in the makeup marketplace, purple polish didn't exist. And then she met creative genius Wende Zomnir and made their own polish. Urban Decay was finally born, starting off with 10 shades of lipstick and 12 colored nail enamels. Their approach on this brand was dare-to-be-different as you can see from their crazy ads and prints, to their weird eye shadow shade names like Asphyxia and Mildew, to bright green, metallic eye liners. They were finally known as the brand that liked to do things differently. But then again they have a serious side. Ingredients are a priority and the proof is in the product. Eye shadows are packed with pigment so they last longer and NEVER crease, makeup brushes are made of synthetic fiber. And, the best part, it's cruelty-free.
