As we know, February 14th is Valentine's Day. Whyville is celebrating Valentine's Day this year with hearts for all you Whyvillians to enjoy and have great fun with.

"What colors can you get?" you ask. Well there are various colors including white, pink, purple, green, orange and yellow. Each can be collected by finding a heart box around Whyville and being the first to get to the box. They are projectiles and you can send them in the usual projectile way by saying (if I had a pink heart), "throw pinkheart 90" or "throw pinkheart laura4381".

You may be thinking, so this is just an ordinary projectile, why is it any different from other projectiles? I can tell you that they are different. When you throw a heart and it "hits" another user, a message comes up. I have thrown some hearts and also have watched hearts fly left, right and center to see the messages they give off.

After a short time of jotting down messages each time I saw one, I had a long list. My favorite ones have to be, "You're hotter than donut grease.", "If you were a booger, I'd pick you first.", "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?", and "Can I have the password to your heart?". In my opinion, by far the best one I saw was, "You're one fine bunch of pixels".

Congratulations Whyvillians, you're really getting into the spirit of throwing hearts everywhere! Most importantly after messages have appeared I've seen lots of "xd"'s, and am glad to see you all having fun.

What does this mean to Whyville? When you throw hearts it shows your appreciation for Whyville. The more hearts you use the more dedication to Whyville you show. I, for one, quite like the idea of giving hearts to each other as a sign of peace and respect.

This year, why not throw hearts at a Whyvillian to cheer them up or maybe to a lonely Whyvillian to give them comfort. What about the new citizens? They could use a friend. This Valentine's Day, all you citizens of Whyville can show your gratitude to Whyville by having fun and enjoying the peace it brings.

To celebrate this occasion, I too have been joining in throwing hearts around. Here are some images that I put together of me collecting the hearts.

This is a fun Whyville experience, so grab it at every chance you get and remember, show respect for Whyville by having fun and throwing hearts everywhere. I hope you've enjoyed reading this.
