The dance party didn't last long; after only 30 minutes of dancing, the Warp Wagon appeared directly under the disco ball, beckoning Clara and Jamie on another adventure. They hopped in, said their goodbyes and hit the "magical" button once again.
They weren't quite sure where they were, but Clara thought it resembled Whyville, just a little. Jamie, being from New York, didn't have a clue, but she did think it was futuristic looking.
Then it struck them; could the wagon have taken them to the future? Surely such a feat like that couldn't have been stumbled upon by two average girls, could it? But, as Clara thought about it, the scenario made more sense. It did take her to the past, after all.
Unsure of the strange, futuristic city's etiquette, neither of them knew where to go from there. There were a couple of people hanging around, maybe they could ask them. Or maybe one of the odd looking buildings would offer some clues to their predicament.
During the dilemma, they saw another girl, who had exited one of the weird buildings almost moments before. She looked smart, maybe she could help!
They rushed over to the woman, nearly running her over. They hurriedly introduced themselves.
And then spit out the pounding questions; "Where were they?" Better yet, "What year was it?"
She answered them, her face clouded with confusion. After the initial shock of two girls running full force at her and shouting out their names had passed, she asked them her own question.
They were hesitant to answer; they couldn't just go telling everybody they were from the past, hundreds of years in the past, and what would their meddling in the future do to their present day? But their attention turned back to the woman, her eyes flashed with recognition and shock, and then two words escaped her gaping mouth.
