Currently, my favorite song is "Hold On" by 33 Miles. It's truly an amazing, inspirational and downright awesome song. I've listened to it dozens of time, its lyrics sinking in my mind, the music tattooing itself to my heart.

The song has moved me so much, I decided to write an article about it, and enlighten the unfortunate people who have yet to hear this piece of art. But first, I liked to give you a little briefing on the band that performs it.

The group consists of Jason Barton, Chris Lockwood and Collin Stoddard. They formed the band about three years ago, but it wasn't easy. Each member had already planned their life out, including their career. Jason was already touring as a vocalist, and the other two were enrolled in good colleges, pursuing their dreams.

But God had other plans. They knew in their gut that this was what they were meant to do, so they dropped what they were doing, and did it! And now, we are all blessed at having the opportunity to listen to them.

Now that you have a little background on them, let's dive into the song.

I've been there a thousand times
I've felt the rain like a thousand knives
And it hurts
I know it hurts
I've been there like a fighter plane
Tryin' fly my way through a hurricane.
And it's hard
I know it's hard

We've all been through something, every single person that has ever lived on this planet has. And, taking in account how many people have lived on Earth, experiences cross paths. There are people that know what you're going through, how it hurts, how hard it is, how it feels.

Don't be afraid
You'll make it through
Just call out to me and I'll come running to you

It's hard, and it can get worse. But don't be afraid! If fear enters your mind, it will obscure the truth, fog your vision. It'll make you freeze in your tracks, and you'll refuse to keep going, but you can't stop. You have to keep going; you can make it through if you just keep going.

Hold on, hold on!
When the current pulls you under
And your heart beats like thunder
Just give me your hand
And hold on, hold on
Until the storm is over
And I'll be fighting for you
Just give me your hand and
Hold on

When you're overwhelmed, and the world seems to win, when everything grabs on and won't let go, just hold on. Stick your hand above the chaos, and hold on, and never let go. The storm will eventually end; you've just got to hold on until then.

I'll give you hope, I'll give you faith
And if it's dark, I'll light the way
For you, for you
By your side, until the end
Until you're standing tall again
I'm here, I'll always be here
And if the tide, sweeps you out to sea
When your strength is gone, and it's hard to believe

Take a look around, there are people everywhere! Your friends, and family are all ready to fight with you. You can lean on their shoulders, and hold their hands in the dark; they can share their hope. Don't be afraid to ask, they're waiting for you.

What's left? You need to listen to the song!
