Scions have been around since '06 , making them a popular subject in Whyville. Whyvillains have scions to help them get around Whyville or to show them off in their City Records. The best part of getting a scion is the feeling of joy. I have interviewed six Whyvillains about their first scion.
IKnewIt2: Do you remember the time when you bought your first scion?
ftdude: Yes, I do remember buying it. I was so excited I went around telling everyone and offering rides.
galaxy7: Hmm . . . Not really. November maybe? Can't remember.
Pink97261: No, it was so long ago.
Mrbadboy3: I sure do, it was a really exciting time to own a scion, not too many people had one!
TNrocks: Sure.
fresians: Yepperz, about a year ago.
IKnewIt2: Why did you buy your scion at the time?
ftdude: I'm not sure. I just always wanted one.
galaxy7: Eh. They looked cool at the time I guess.
Pink97261: Because everyone had one.
Mrbadboy3: A few of my friends had one, and like I said, I thought it was pretty cool to have one, so I started saving up.
TNrocks: I really wanted it.
fresians: Because I was born into this Why-Life to waste money.
IKnewIt2: Did you have to get a loan, and if so, how much?
ftdude: Yes, I did have a loan for 6 thousand.
galaxy7: Nope.
Pink97261: No. I saved up.
Mrbadboy3: Nope, payed in full. I don't think there were loans back then either.
TNrocks: I didn't, I payed in cash.
fresians: Yes, about 10k.
IKnewIt2: Did you plan to buy a scion or did you buy it in the moment?
ftdude: It was something I had been wanting but I don't think I really "planned" it.
galaxy7: I did buy one as soon as I got the money. But, yeah I was playing games and getting clams with my friend who also wanted a scion.
Pink97261: I was planning.
Mrbadboy3: As soon as I heard about them, I wanted one . . . so kinda bought it as soon as I had the clams.
TNrocks: I planned it.
fresians: Bought it in the moment.
IKnewIt2: Did you feel that you spent too much?
ftdude: I do wish they were a little cheaper or maybe offered used ones like in the real world, but I feel like it was a good investment.
galaxy7: Eh. It didn't matter to me.
Pink97261: Yea.
Mrbadboy3: No, not at all, I only spent 14,000 on my first scion, that's reasonable . . . a real car costs the same or more!
TNrocks: Yes!
fresians: Yes. LoL.
IKnewIt2: How did you feel right after buying your scion?
ftdude: Completely overwhelmed with excitement (I was 12, haha).
galaxy7: I felt pretty hyped, and it was neat to showing my friends.
Pink97261: I felt awesome -- all my hard work payed off.
Mrbadboy3: Excited and just really happy to have finally been able to buy one.
TNrocks: Excited!
fresians: Excited.
IKnewIt2: Now do you feel it was a good investment or do you almost never use it?
ftdude: Yes, I do feel it was a good investment and I do use it on occasion.
galaxy7: Eh. I don't use it very much. But, maybe if I'm bored I'll go use it.
Pink97261: It was a horrible investment. I have no idea why I bought my scion. To show off? But I know why I don't care . . . I would be 45,000 clams richer if I wouldn't have bought them.
Mrbadboy3: Well . . . I do think now scions are kind of a waste, but I DO still use mine, mostly to host the fun "boot games".
TNrocks: I used it and I'm glad I bought it.
fresians: It was a horrible investment, they repossessed it, LoL.
So there you have it. Many people have different opinions on scions in general as you can see in the last question. I think that my scion was a good investment even though I don't use it very often.
