So we've all seen it at the top of our home page when we log on. The new game, CSI Case: Burning Star. What is this new game? How do we accomplish it? These are the questions that are probably running through your mind. I've asked a few Whyvillians (lbemeh, JAK3RS, and mscutie8) about what they thought of this game.
Legochic6: What did you think of the game?
JAK3RS: It was fun, but hard and complex.
mscutie8: I love the game . . . I've always liked detective stuff so when I first saw the game I was really excited.
lbemeh: Haha, I thought it was rather boring. I had to go through a lot of clues, but I don't like it.
Legochic6: Have you successfully completed the game? If so how many times?
JAK3RS: No.
mscutie8: I've completed it once but I like to look things through and talk to the CSI people on there and see what the fingerprinting machine does and stuff.
lbemeh: Well no, I have completed like 3 levels.
Legochic6: Do you think this game was a good addition to the Whyville Game Arcade?
JAK3RS: Yes, I think it was.
mscutie8: Yes I really think this is a good addition because of all the things you have to go through to complete the game, like making shoe imprints. I know other people like it too because I always see people talking about it.
lbemeh: Oh no, they shouldn't have made it that difficult, what about anyone who can't do it? They probably just started!
Legochic6: What improvements would you say this game needs?
JAK3RS: Make it more clear. Some things were very unclear.
mscutie8: There's really nothing to change because it's already great the way it is.
lbemeh: A lot easier stuff.
Legochic6: Will you be awaiting another game like this?
JAK3RS: Yes!
mscutie8: Yes I will be waiting, because I want to see what other ideas they have for this game or any other game.
lbemeh: No, I don't like. I will be awaiting something more exciting, fun, and easier.
And there you have it folks, three very different opinions on the same game. Here are my answers for the questions:
1. I thought the game was pretty fun, but I had to go to the BBS a few times to get some questions answered.
2. I have successfully completed the game once, and that 115 clams felt good to look at when I was done investigating for an hour!
3. I do think this game was a good addition to the Whyville Game Arcade because it gave all Whyvillians a different kind of experience.
4. I would make a save button definitely. I know there is a save button before you get your PDA, but I think it should be there the whole game.
5. I will be awaiting another game like this for sure!
That was my opinion on the game, a little different than the opinion of the citizens I interviewed.
Signing off for more CSI adventures,
