I feel different when I look at the stars
I feel special when I stare at the clouds
I feel happy when I see children at the park
Just little kids making their mark in the world
I feel special when I sing
Lost in music
I feel happy when the wind blows through my hair
When a chill crinkles my nose

I feel bad when I am behind in school
The pressure to act as if it's all cool
I know how it works
How it seems
How I seem
I feel different when I look at the stars
When I swing from the monkey bars
I feel successful for no reason at all
I feel as if I am able to pursue my dreams
It may seem weird to you
But that's me
Can't you see?
Can't you see the stars in the big sky?
Can't you see the good inside the bad?
It makes me sad to see somebody mad
It makes me feel sympathy for somebody rude or crude
I feel different when I look at the stars
Or swing from the monkey bars
