PANDEMIC
I'm broken, crying, weeping
Blisters healed by tears,
Tears healed by whispers.
Whispers belonging to you.

The agony is somewhat dulled
When your arms encircle.
I don't mind the hurt
When you're here to help.

But when I turn around
I have to face the pain alone.
Puzzle pieces fall in place
As I realize you're gone.

You left me there,
Crumpled on the floor.
I'm unsure if it was on purpose
Or because you were pushed out the door.

Now I'm here today,
Standing by your grave.
I kneel down
And put down my knife.
