My reflection stares back at me
It taunts me; it lies
For where my face should be
Is a mask of disguise

All the things that I have done
Distort the good inside
For where my happiness should be
Is all the countless nights I've cried

All my heartaches appear in the water
They bring back oceans of tears
For where my strength should be
There insecurities and fears

Old dreams from what could have been
Eat away at my ambition
For where my hopes should be
Are confusions and suspicion

Let me know where I am going
The person I am and the one I see are not the same
For where my self-respect should be
Is much pitiless shame
