Hi! This is Mayix speaking. I wanted to do a book review since MediaWiz is doing the T.V. thing. Here it goes!
Some incredibly good books are out there today! Some of them are.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
Everyone probably knows what Harry Potter's about, but in case you don't I'll give
an explanation. It's about an 11 year old orphan who suddenly finds out he is a wizard. He is whisked away from his bullying aunt, uncle, and cousin to Hogwart's School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he has adventures like finding three-headed
dogs and rescuing the sorcerers stone.
The Redwall series
The Redwall series is about various animal heroes. Dashing hares, heroic
mice, daring squirrels fight villainous rats, foxes and stoats. They are
different than most animal stories. A must read. I am a huge fan of Redwall
myself.
Castaways of the Flying Dutchman
Neb and Den are hands on the ship called the Flying Dutchman. The captain
says he is better than god and an angel curses the ship. Neb and Den are the
only innocent ones on the ship, so the angel spares them and gives them the
gift of everlasting youth. They wander about the world through different
times, helping people. Fantastic!
The Lost Years of Merlin series
A must-read for admirers of Merlin. They tell about the years of Merlin's
late childhood on the Island of Fincarya, a world between the real world and
the underworld. Can't live without them.
Bloomability
A book where a girl is "kidnapped" by her aunt and uncle and taken to
Switzerland to go to a school taught by her uncle. It's a really fantastic
place, but she is homesick. Will she ever find out who she is? Read and find out!
The Golden Compass series
The first one is fantastic! It's called "The Golden Compass", and takes place in
another world where everyone has daemons. A girl named Lyra tries to save
the world. Will she succeed? (I haven't read the other two in the trilogy,
but you have my assurance on this book. The other two, "The Subtle Knife" and
"The Amber Spyglass" are supposed to be just as good.)
Anything by Daniel Pinkwater
That's not the title of the book, F.Y.I. Some of his books are: Alan
Mendelson, Boy from Mars, Borgle, The Snarkout Boys series, Yobgorgle, Worms
of Kumkumlima, Slaves of Speigel and others. If you like amazingly wacky
books, these are for you!
Well, I have to stop now because my dad is yelling at me to do my homework.
So long! Here are my parting words to Redwall fans worldwide:
EULALIA'S DEATH ON THE WIND! EULALIA!
P.S. You might have noticed that I'm a little obsessed. :)
fading out....
