Reporter Kandy334 here, and I'm here to tell you about something very strange going on in random towns all over the world . . .
Don't lie, but you know you've heard of the phrase, "It's raining cats and dogs!"
But raining dead birds? That's just a whole new thing!
There have been reports of dead birds, dying in the sky, and falling onto unsuspecting towns. Even towns half way around the world, and thousands of miles away from where I live!
The most recent mysterious raining of the winged, happened on January 3rd, in Labarre, Louisiana. "The birds were found Monday along Louisiana Highway 1, about 300 miles south of Beebe, Arkansas, where more than 3,000 blackbirds fell from the sky about 3 days earlier (On New Year's Eve). Authorities say examinations showed those birds suffered internal injuries that formed deadly blood clots."
In Picture: A Red Winged Blackbird in the yard of a resident's home just shortly after the bird raining.
The reason as to why these birds randomly dropped out of the sky is a pain in the neck and a huge mystery for the scientists, for they are still working on the determined cause of death. Some say that it was the fireworks from the New Year's Eve partying, causing the birds to go into shock or have a heart attack. But there's a good chance that most people all over the country were having the fireworks show, so why just so few and random towns all over the world?
Another theory was the bad weather. I don't personally live in Louisiana, so I'm not sure how the weather was during that time. This didn't happen in the local area where I live, where the weather drastically changed from 20 degrees to 50 degrees and thunderstorms, and back to cold weather within a day. The animals in my local towns seemed to be just fine.
What do you think happened to these beautiful birds? And why in such random places? Please discuss in the BBS. And also, if you are from, or local to this town please don't say so: it's against Whyville's rules. But please let us know, what are YOUR personal beliefs on how this happened? Was this a huge, but horrible surprise to you?
If I ever hear that the mystery has been solved, I WILL be back to report about it! But for now . . . let's see if we can find out what happened to these beautiful birds!
Reporter Kandy334 here, signing off!
P.S. Let's keep a close eye on the Whyville Bird!
