I only want to dance
To melt with the soft music
My splendid satin shoes
carrying me through the air
with a sense of buoyancy and bliss
I only ask to twirl
To be forever bound
by the mesmerizing flow of fouettes
And to perpetually pirouette
so to never lose its placid feeling
I only wish to leap
To tour jete till the end of time
To flutter here and there
like a vivacious butterfly on a warm summer day
so long as I abide on this earth
I only relish in grace
My soul melts into the omnipresent music
as my body melts into a fondu
To bourree, to glissade, to plie
is to transform into a feather-like being
I only want to dance
To never come off my toes
and to be perpetually happy
But life violently snatches me from my dream world
throwing at me all of its obstacles
If only I could dance
Forever.
