After I lied down that night, and was sure that everyone in the house was asleep, I went looking for some information. I tiptoed into the house library, and looked through books. Finally, I found a book on the planet Lostra. I took the book back to my room and got comfortable on my bed. I began reading and finished the book before the night ended.

According to the book, Lostra is a planet in the Kosnet galaxy, a neighboring galaxy to the Milky Way. Lostranites are very technologically advanced, with giant, bustling cities. Lostranites were very involved in folklores and religion. They worship one God, by the name of Pastriada. Apparently, Lostran scientists have been studying Earth and the Milky Way for a long time now, yet Earth still had no knowledge that any other planets or life existed. Lostranites have actually made trips to Earth, in a special ship that can handle traveling to and from different galaxies. This ship is called a Quavan. Lostranites are able to make trips to Earth unnoticed, because they look just like your average human.

Now I was kind of confused, maybe Cade and his family came to Earth and took me? I couldn't think of any other way I could have made it to a different planet, let alone a different galaxy! My only thought was this: Cade and his family were assigned to bring an Earthling back to Lostran, but on the way back they crashed and landed on a different planet, then pretended like they've never seen me before, and take me into their home. It sounds WAY too far-fetched and unlikely though . . . Why would they pick me out of anyone on Earth if that was really what happened? My head hurt from all the thinking, so I quickly put the book back where I found it and returned to my room for some sleep.

Cade awoke me in the morning, he was like my little alarm clock that I couldn't hit the snooze on. I was now regretting staying up to read that book last night, for I barely got any sleep! Cade took me to the kitchen for dinner, and then told me he needed to talk to me.

"Courtney, may I have a word after dinner?" Cade asked politely.

"Of course Cade.. Should I be worried?" I replied with a grin.

"No way, I just want to talk to you about some matters at hand." I nodded and we exited the kitchen through the back door. We walked to the lake where we had met, and sat down on the grass near the coastline.

"So Cade, what's this about?" I asked naively. He blushed a bit and covered his face for a few minutes before he spoke.

"Well, this isn't really what I was going to talk about, but I cannot believe how unbelievably beautiful you are . . ." He whispered. I smiled ear to ear and laughed.

"Really? Well you're not bad yourself." I said with a chuckle. He gave me the biggest grin ever. I stared intensely at him for a few minutes, for I never really noticed his facial features. He had shaggy brown hair, and beautiful green eyes. He had a few freckles across the bridge of his nose, and he was pale, just like me. He had pearly white teeth when he smiled, and he had a slender body. I scoped out something that was different from Earthlings though; he had carved out piece of skin underneath his eye, in the shape of a star. It was really bizarre, and I never noticed it before.

"What are you doing?" He asked me with a giggle.

"I'm looking at you, what do you think I'm doing?" I said with a smile.

"Well, back to the matter at hand. I need to talk to you about how you got here." I was secretly thinking, FINALLY; some answers! I nodded to let him know he could proceed.

"We sort of, brought you here. You're going to want to know why, and I didn't even know why until last night. Two years ago we landed on Opia, as we searched the land, we found an abandoned Quavan, and we sought to use it to bring more people to the planet. My parents had their eye on you for a while they told me, but they never gave me a reason. They just always said, 'Her aura is different than the rest.' We went to Earth, and retrieved you after everyone in the house had fallen asleep. We came back to Opia and we pretended not to know you were on the planet, just so that you wouldn't know we took you. I just couldn't stand you not knowing what was going on. You looked so sad and I feel so guilty from taking you from Earth. Unfortunately, we can't take you home. When we came back to Opia, the Quavan crash landed, and is no longer operable." I looked at him with my mouth wide open and had no words to come out. He took my hand and looked into my eyes, and whispered in my ear,

"It's going to be okay. I'm here for you."

"How could you guys do this to me? Now I'm stuck here forever! Why couldn't you at least bring my whole family?" I asked.

"My mother and father were only seeking to find a wife for me. So I wouldn't be alone. I had no say in any of it. They searched for the whole two years, using the maps and scanners in the Quavan, and then they came across you. They wanted you to be the one I marry."

"Wow. Well at least you're cute and nice. Otherwise this would be the worst life ever." I sighed. I turned to him and he leaned in to kiss me. I didn't close my eyes because I was way too shocked to think. When we finished, we saw a shadow hovering over us, and turned slowly. Cade screamed and took my wrist, and we ran as fast as we could in the direction of the cabin . . .
