I felt like we were running at the speed of light, I felt kind of sick. I looked down and saw the ground flying underneath us. I dared to look back and saw a giant beast, running toward us. It looked kind of like the pictures I've seen of Bigfoot back on Earth.

"WHAT IS THAT?!" I yelled.

"IT'S A MASTRA. IT'S A GIANT BEAST THAT ROAMS AROUND THE FORESTED AREA THAT CIRCLES THE LAKE! THEY'RE VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARCE, I'M SURPRISED THAT THERE'S ONE CHASING US." Cade screamed. "RUN FASTER! IT'S GAINING!" I ran with all my might toward the cabin and realized Cade was no longer holding on to my wrist. I stopped in my tracks and spun in a circle, looking frantically in every direction looking for him.

"CADE!" I screamed with tears streaming down my face. That was when I realized Mastra was no longer following either. I fell to my knees and buried my face in my hands. I sobbed for what seemed like an eternity. When I finally regained my strength, I went searching for Cade. I went through the forest 3 times, and looked through the giant meadow. No sign of Cade or the Mastra anywhere. Suddenly I felt as if I couldn't breathe, and blacked out. I felt myself fall on the ground below me, and couldn't move.

I seemed to be coming out of the sleep I fell into, but I felt as if I was being carried. I didn't know how long I was passed out, and didn't know why I fell asleep. When I could finally see, I looked at the face carrying me; it was Cade's father. I blinked a few times, and looked on his other shoulder. It was Cade, his face was cut up and bleeding; I started to cry.

"Oh, you are awake. Cade has been in a terrible accident, he sacrificed himself to save you from the Mastra that was following you. No worries now, I destroyed it." Cade's father whispered. "Is he going to be okay?!" I asked frantically. I felt Cade's father shrug, but he didn't speak any further. We reached the cabin, and they told me to wait in my room. They laid Cade in his room and his mother began doing some healing magic on him. I didn't know they could do that, it was exciting. I wondered what else they could do. When night had fallen, and I knew Cade's parents were asleep, I opened my door and tiptoed into Cade's room. He looked really bad, worse than what he looked earlier. I sat on the side of the bed and stared at him. I started to talk to him, it seemed like something I'd seen on a soap opera. I leaned down to kiss his forehead before going to lie back down in my bed. I couldn't sleep at all that night, for my guilt was eating me alive. It felt like a year passed by the time I saw the sun come up. I was so tired, I didn't sleep at all. Not even for a minute. I quickly ran to Cade's room to find that he was no longer in his bed. He was up making breakfast and he waved at me.

"You're okay! Cade I'm so sorry." I said with joy.

"Yeah, after you kissed my forehead I woke up for a while, but fell back to sleep. My mom's healing works every time." He replied with a smile.

"Your mom can use magic!? That's remarkable, I've never seen anything like that before. I just feel so guilty that you sacrificed yourself for me. Thank you."

"You're welcome, I'd rather see you live than me, you're a beautiful person in and out." We were staring at each other when we heard a scream out the front door. We ran toward it to see what was going on . . .
