Welcome back to "Fact or Fiction"! The last couple creatures featured in this series have all been very unrealistic and hard to track down, but today's abnormal being (better yet, beings) are more realistic, and on the paranormal side. They have been found just about everywhere on Earth, especially in graveyards. Oddly enough, they are not found at night nearly as much as they are spotted in daylight. They roam the Earth in what is believed to be a dream like state, and yes, they are ghosts.
There are lots of ideas on what ghosts look like. Truth is, there are several different kinds. The most common ghost in pictures are apparitions. These apparitions are easy to identify as "ghosts" because they are in the shape of a body. They might even have distinct facial features. Pictures like these are, in my opinion, the most realistic ghost pictures out there. They are the hardest to prove false, and are difficult to give rational explanations to in general.

There are also paranormal occurrences such as orbs and ectoplasm ghosts. These spirits do not have an actual bodily appearance, but can often be found in pictures. Though they sometimes are very vague, orbs especially are very common even in everyday photo albums. It would surprise you how many photographs out there witness orbs without even realizing it. Some of these "orb" occurrences are dust on the camera lens, but some are paranormal beings.

Though these are the two most common ghosts found in photography, there are other types. There are shadow ghosts, funnel ghosts, poltergeists, etc. There are so many objects and shapes people believe are ghosts, and new types of these paranormal beings are being thought up every day. It isn't for certain that all these "ghost" types truly do exist, but to me it is more likely than thousands upon thousands of coincidences.
There are, however, lots of pictures out there that aren't really of ghosts. They might look real, but are often just lucky shots of things such as smoke, fire, and steam.

Right when I was in the thick of thinking of ideas for this article, I was talking to a friend of mine. She was telling me about several horrible situations she has been dealing with that she believes are the works of ghosts. I decided to set up a miniature interview with her, asking how her haunting experience has been.
Kittieme: I hear there was recently what you believe is a haunting at your home, is that correct?
Funhunx3: Yes Ma'am.
Kittieme: What have you seen or heard that have made it likely there was a ghost present?
Funhunx3: Well, I have recently been smacked in the face and when I woke up . . . no one was there. I have heard a little girl whisper my name and scream help. I have seen a tall man in a black coat and a little girl in a raggedy old dress and bows for pig tails. I got freaked out when I saw the man. I have told many people this but they don't listen to me.
Kittieme: I'm sorry that has happened. If you don't mind me asking, how old is your house?
Funhunx3: My house is 50 years old. We have done some remodeling in the house.
Kittieme: Do you know anything about past residents, or why the previous owners sold their house in the first place?
Funhunx3: No, I would like to know why, But I'm not sure.
Kittieme: Has the haunting ever become so bad you wish that you could move away? Or is it mostly (aside from the smacking) peaceful and not bothering?
Funhunx3: Yes it has been really bad, I wish I never moved here. It is really bothering.
Kittieme: Thank you for taking part in this short interview. Is there anything you'd like to say to people out there who might be getting haunted as well?
Funhunx3: You're welcome and yes there is; don't show fear to the spirits if you do, they will take up the energy because that's what they feed off of, your fear. If you have heard doors slam, cabinets slam, kitchen items flying, a gust of smoke in the bathroom or mirrors, if you feel like someone is watching you . . . you might want to watch your back.
Thank you so much to Funhunx3 for being willing to share her frightening experiences with me. I know I would hate to be haunted, and I can see that she is troubled too. It sounds to me like she is experiencing several different ghosts present in her home.
There are lots of other people out there who have said to have witnessed ghosts and haunting experiences, and there is lots of evidence such as pictures that help prove the existence of ghosts.
