Heya Whyvillians!
It's just me! Tiggie10. Today I am not only writing as tiggie10, but as a why-helper. I'm gonna give you the FAQ's (frequently asked questions), give you an inside look at the job, and tell you some proper etiquette when typing a letter to the why-helpers.
First are the FAQ's. Some are:
Q: I need clams, how can I make some major clamage fast?
A: You have to play games and more games and answer puzzles and join things like the Solstice and Geology Safaries.
Q: I signed up for a bonus but i haven't gotten it yet. wutz up?
A: You have to earn them, if you check them, then it won't do anything.
Q: How do I become a y-helper?
A: You have to email city management, and you can also wait until management gets the sign up for y-helpers set up in City Hall.
Now that that is answered, I will give you an inside look at the job. You may think that it is all having fun and helping people. But it's not. It's not that I don't like the job, I LOVE it, but that's because I love helping people, no matter how annoying it gets. Because it is really annoying at times. You always get the same questions and you sometimes get those annoying mail forwards and stuff, because if you are on a public list then people think they can spam you freely.
There are also some great things about it! Like knowing that you may have made Whyville easier for even just one person. Sometimes you even get a thank-you. I think that if you love helping, then this is for you.
Before I go, I wanna give you all some hints about why-helper etiquette:
- Do not ask for clams! Just because we help people with answers does not mean we will give you clams. I do not give clams to anyone because I can not give them to everyone.
- Do not say you chose to why-mail me because I was the cutest. I mean, I love hearing it, but you should not choose me because of that.
- Please don't harass us and make fun of us, we are just trying to help.
- Do not mail us about making money in one day, there is no way to do that.
- Do say please and thank-you.
- "Dear" is always nice and "sincerely" is quite nice, too.
Well, that's all I can say. Please take what I have said seriously and enjoy Whyville!
