Dear Dad,

You're an inspiration, one of the many reasons why I love you. We've always had those good/bad days, but I'll always love you. Remember that day where you taught me how to ride a bike? You kept your promise. "Daddy, don't let go." You never did, not ever. I learned how to ride a bike, even with you still holding onto me. Oh darn, I think I'm going to start crying. Even if you did let go, I would love you. Our memories will be locked inside my heart, forever and always.

As I grew older, I became more mature, yet more immature. You always told me to stay strong, no matter how hard it gets. And let me tell you something, it got really difficult. You know Mom, how she always smoked during the stressful days. Well now you can't see her without a cigarette, that's how stressed she is. She needs you, Faith needs you, I need you.

On Father's Day, I'll give you flowers, this letter, and tears. Faith will curse to the man who did this to you, and Mom will cry an ocean. I'm hoping for a change this year. I want Faith to smile, Mom to give us hugs, and me, I just want to be proud. But without my father, the same father that never let go, how can I? With a mother who smokes and an older sister who has grown up too much too fast, how can I? I know I'm not on my own, but nobody tells me it's ever going to be "alright" or how everything is going to be "normal."

On this Father's Day, I'll love you, but who will love me? But Dad, ever since the crash, nothing has ever been the same. It's only been 2 years, yet nothing has seem to become close to getting better. Happy Father's Day. I love you.

Love your daughter,
Jessie.
