There's a teeny tiny tune keeping rhythm in my heart
A song that never ceases in the day or in the dark
It sings of love and wonder, of a hope to be renewed
Not one of you can stop it, it will never be subdued

My little song rings out, clear and pure and sweet
Running free without a bound, touching all those in the streets
As the people hear the song, they start to sing and laugh and sway
And I join in their happy chorus and dance throughout the day

The playing children keep a steady beat with all their drums
And the happy gardening woman with her flute becomes
The voice of the song. And with each new flower adds beauty and life
As does the running man, with every mile, bringing the spirit with his fife

Now my song, as sweet as ever, catches fire around the world
When all the people sing together a new future is unfurled
As the melody grows louder, more changes come about
The sun shines, the shooting stops, and no longer is there doubt

There's a great, unyielding symphony ringing out in all our hearts
It's a song that never ceases in the day or in the dark
It sings of love and wonder, of a hope that's been renewed
Not one of us will stop it, it can never be subdued
