It seems like you can't turn on a TV or open a magazine without seeing someone from Hollywood who has had some type of plastic surgery, botox, or implants. It really has young girls thinking about getting it. Girls who are too young to even have their own apartment. As you read this article, please keep an open mind on everything that's said.

PROBLEM:

Girls as young as 10 years old are already thinking about having surgery to enhance their looks. They don't think about the side effects of these surgeries, they're only thinking about how beautiful it made people look on TV.

SOLUTION:

We don't have one. However, if we want these young girls to not think of such things, we should tell those girls how beautiful and amazing they already are every chance we get.

Now from what you've just read, you're probably thinking that I'm against the surgery. (Let's remember that we're talking about botox, plastic surgery, or some type of implants.) If you're thinking I'm against this, you're 100 percent wrong. I'm all for it. I believe that if you don't feel pretty, you should do whatever it takes to make yourself feel pretty. I believe that we all know ourselves better than anyone, and no one will love us more than ourselves. So if for some reason, we want to have this surgery done, then we should go for it. No matter what anyone thinks.

When I was in the 6th grade, I started middle school. Now at that age, all the girls weren't very "developed" yet. Whenever I would go to the bathroom I would see girls stuffing. It's a shame really. That's what I thought at that age. But as I've grown older, I've realized how much I really want these surgeries. I feel like it'll enhance the way I look, and the attention I get from people. I'm not saying I'm ugly, best believe I'm not. But that isn't the point. When I look in the mirror, I should feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. If I don't, well then that just isn't acceptable. I recently asked a few Whyvillians about these subjects. You might be surprised to read some of their answers. First off, let's view the questions and answers that are from the boys.

*Note - I am fully aware that imCutexox is not a boy. However, she specifically asked to answer the questions for the boys.

Mrzbaybay: Do you have a problem with girls getting botox/plastic surgery/or implants? Explain.

Blake3210: I do. I know I shouldn't have a problem. It's not MY body . . . But still, you should be comfortable in your own skin, but if you think that botox/plastic surgery would make you more comfortable, then yes, go ahead, no problem.
MrCowboy: I like natural, but if they want surgery then I'm okay with it.
ooooopppp: Though I do not condone it, I am not against it. I wish people who are "normal" or "average" could be happy that way, but if a woman wants to, in her mind, "enhance" her physical image, then she has the right to do so.
imCutexox: No, not really. It's their choice and it's nothing I get to pick. It's not that dangerous, so why have a problem with it?

Mrzbaybay: Would you date someone with any of these? Explain.

Blake3210: I don't really know. I mean, like I said before, if that makes you more confident, then go for it. But I don't really think it's a good idea. I generally think body modifications are wrong.
MrCowboy: I don't care if they have 'em or not.
ooooopppp: It depends really. If she gets a small "fix" on something she didn't like about herself, then it's fine with me, but if she suddenly has 50 percent of her body weight in her chest then NO.

Mrzbaybay: If you were married, and your wife wanted botox/plastic surgery/or implants, would you support her in getting it? Would you help pay? Explain. Blake3210: I would. I mean, if I were married to her, then I would love her no matter what, and support her with whatever makes her happier. I would also help pay, you can sometimes buy happiness.
MrCowboy: Whatever make her happy.
ooooopppp: Are you also asking the girls this question? Anyways, I would not support the decision unless something were to happen which would result in her needing plastic surgery to fix it, and of course I would pay for that. But if she just wants to do something completely unnecessary, then I would not support it.
imCutexox: No, I wouldn't. I don't think that it would be a good idea, but if it's what she REALLY wants, and is so desperate for, then I guess I'd let her.

Now let's examine the questions that the girls were asked.

Mrzbaybay: Do you have a problem with girls getting botox/plastic surgery/or implants? Explain.

natnat10: No, I think it's perfectly fine.
Jillith: As long as they have BDD, it seems fine to me. I believe everyone is beautiful they way they are. (BDD is Body Dimorphic Disorder)
irock1103: Yes, considering age. If you are under the age of 16, I think it is a bad example because girls should not worry to much about their age at that . . . age.
Poppinx3: Not really. Some people don't like parts of their bodies, so they change them. I do wish people would be happy with their bodies and not make changes like that, but hey, who am I to tell people what to do with their bodies?
PRGirl13: I have no problem with people who get plastic surgery. It's their bodies and they can do what they please with them. What I do have a problem with is the media, which has presented to us an idea of beauty that is pretty much unattainable. Women have been brainwashed into believing that they need to get plastic surgery and/or change the way the look to be beautiful.
m550555: Not really. I don't like the idea, but it doesn't bother me if someone else got any of those.

Mrzbaybay: Would you ever get botox/plastic surgery/or implants? Which? Explain.

natnat10: Yes, I'd get implants, I think I'd feel better about myself with them.
Jillith: No. I'm fine with the way I look. Plus, I'd be too scared of something going wrong.
irock1103: No thanks. I am perfectly fine with by body.
Poppinx3: I wouldn't get any of them. I don't want to go through all that trouble to make myself look better. I don't really care much for my appearance, and if people don't like it, then they can go eat cake.
PRGirl13: I have a lot of things I dislike about myself, but I would never get plastic surgery to change them. I'd rather have my little imperfections than be fake. Also, more times than not, people who get plastic surgery end up looking more messed up than they thought they did in the beginning.
m550555: None. I'm staying the way I am!

Mrzbaybay: If you were in a serious relationship, Would you consult your partner before getting botox/plastic surgery/ or implants? Would you still get it if they said they didn't think you needed it, and/or didn't want you to have it? Explain.

natnat10: I'd ask my partner first and then go with what they say, because they'd love me for who I am, without implants.
Jillith: I would consult them, I wouldn't want to come home one day and have them call the police because my butt is bigger than a hippo's. But that would be if I wanted to, and if they said no, it would only encourage me. I'd feel pretty.
irock1103: No. If we were serious, then I should respect his opinion and appreciate how he likes me for who I am.
Poppinx3: If I were to get any of those things, I would consult my partner about it first. Just tell him the low down and what would happen. I'm not too sure what I would do if my partner said those things. I know I won't be in this situation, but there are many things to think about, such as if you would even let someones opinion stop you from doing something to your own body. Some people don't like others telling them what to do and not to do with their bodies. I don't know what I would do.
PRGirl13: I would consult my partner, and if they advise me not to, I wouldn't. If they say that, it must mean they love me for who I am.
m550555: I would tell them about it before I got it. If they say "No, you don't need it" then I would most likely skip the idea of getting botox/plastic surgery/implants.

As you can see, we have a lot of the same answers. I guess when it comes to this topic, people just don't feel as I do. But that's okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Tell me your opinion on BBS! How do you feel about this? Look out for more articles on topics like this! Coming soon to a Times near you.
