I Refuse to Take a Number!

Hey, you! Yeah, that's right, I'm talking to you! You know that screen where your eyes begin to tear, and you might as well just start crying. You've been trying to get on for hours! You have no one to chat with, and you have to go to your soccer practice in fifteen minutes. Oh, if only you could get on!

Well, here's the deal. If you are reading this, you are most likely assuming that I am in that very room with you. Are you willing to place money on that theory? Because I'm in the Spin Lab, talking to some girls I haven't met before and I signed in this afternoon. I didn't see the waiting room today! But you know what... now that I think about it, I didn't see it yesterday or the day before, and yet I still read the Times first thing this morning. Isn't that funny?

Here's the deal, if you haven't figured it out yet. I refuse to sit around and wait when my life needs to move on. I had a little chat with my mom, and she started out by saying that I couldn't get a Why-Pass for two reasons. The first reason was that I was always on. The second reason was that she wasn't sure she wanted to use her credit card over the internet. Me, I am going to be a lawyer someday (before I'm a forensic scientist), and so this was a good chance to prove to my mom that I should get a Why-Pass.

I told her I would spend less time on Whyville if I got a Why-Pass, because most of my time before was spent trying to get on. Thus, with a Why-Pass, it would be easier for me to get on, and then later, I would be able to get on again if I needed to do something else. I wouldn't waste all that time waiting! She agreed to that part. But there was still the pay issue.

I thought really hard about the paying thing. So, I looked around Whyville and I noticed a security sign on the Why-Pass page. I showed this to my mom it finally got her to agree. She had her little talk with my dad and then I got to use my mom's credit card to pay for one.

So, while you're reading this, I might be, too!
