Cookie188 and Smurfette get educated.

Hey, Cookie188 here. We all enjoy Whyville: we can talk with people, have
little romances, and we can have houses and beauty contests. But sometimes we all
forget that Whyville is an educational site.
The day my cousin joined, I had only solved the first two levels in "Alien
Rescue". We both enjoyed it, and stayed up until 3 in the morning, but we
just couldn't beat the last level. The next morning we beat it. We learned
a little bit about each country, and our Geography skills improved.
We then decided to try another game and passed the first 4 levels of
W.A.S.A. Unfortunately, we had to buy something to continue. And we didn't
know where to find it.
Since I used to figure skate, I won the skater game, no problem, but my cousin
learned something new.
Whyville is definitely educational! Remember to always try to beat those
games and think about 'em, not just for salary purposes.
Cookie188, signing off...

Hey, Smurfette here. I am responding to an article by Heartland.
In here article she asked if Whyville was really educational. She said that we didn't really learn anything from all the stuff on here. Well, maybe she is not quite familiar with Whyville. And as a Why-Veteran I see it as my duty to set this straight.
Before Whyville became so populated you may have actually noticed all the education things. Such as... at the Airfield, the Warp wagon, Currency Exchange, and Great Balloon Race. And the Smart Cars Arena, the Spin Lab, Tiki Tours, and WASA. And also, don't forget the latest, the CDC.
Did you ever think that the reason for the pool chat room was probably to discuss things about Dr. Leila's questions and answers? Makes sense, doesn't it? I mean it is connected to her house.
There are other things we are learning from also that we may not realize. Like when we build our salaries and have to live on a budget, and save clams. Or when we build our house and only have a certain number of blocks to use. Even at the dance studio, where we have to use a certain number of steps and still get back to the center spot. Or perhaps when we buy or make face parts. We are learning artistic skills and budgeting our money. But perhaps the least realized education occurs when we are chatting. It's likely that every time you walk into a chat room you will learn something new. You never know what a friend might tell you.
I see it as inappropriate that people should complain that Whyville is not educational (I'm not saying Heartland is the only one). Every time we get something educational, people say it's bad or boring and that we should get a mall. Like when we got WASA, no one really liked it and everyone said it was horrible, but then like two weeks later people were saying that Whyville doesn't give us enough to learn with. It's so crazy. Have we really forgotten the purpose of Whyville? That is really sad to think so.
Well, maybe you'll hear from me again,
