Something Serious to Say

Oipolloi
Guest Political Reporter

Hello fellow Whyvillians! Some, or very few, of you may know me. The odd girl. Different clothes, music, opinions, the works. For now, put that all behind you, because there's a lot to learn... But just to start off my long, opinion-filled article, let me define a word:

Anarchy: The state of no goverment...

A note about Blackbox's article: he called Whyville a communist state mixed with dictator ship. I strongly disagree. How is Whyville a communism when every citizen makes a different amount of money? How is Whyville a communism when almost everyone owns a different size house/property, when other people don't even have plots? How is Whyville a communism when everything from bricks to face parts to projectiles are different prices?

I'm not trying to make him sound stupid, I'm not trying to sound mean, I'm just trying to make a correction. I don't think Whyville is a communism at all. Nor do I think it is a dictatorship. Who is our dictator, exactly?

On a related topic, starting a government in Whyville would probably be a really bad idea. Think about it. All the elections would be a popularity contest. Maybe not all. But most.

Now, if Whyville were to stays/become an anarchy, it would probably be more fun. No one to control, no one to pick/make silly rules... anarchy would get rid of racism against the poor/different/rich... etc, etc.

Whyville should only censor certain words that would upset parents Other words, that really don't hurt nor bother anyone shouldn't be so strictly removed. Sometimes if I try to say something like "okkkkkkk", it won't let me say it! It is extremely hard to get my point across having to use long words found in a thesaurus that no one knows the meanings too.

Moving back on to my political view, people are starting to believe that we ARE a dictatorship. Who is our dictator? I have to again ask. I also disagree with Lilbeaut's statement on how we have no say in anything. Again, I'm not trying to be mean, or say that she's stupid, because it's clear that neither Blackbox nor Lilbeaut are, but we do have the right to vote. There is a problem there, but it's not the same that they brought up. People's votes are bought. We have a say, but it's becoming unfairly manipulated.

Again I say: We should stick with an anarchy. If we elect some Whyville president, it would turn into a popularity contest. And then into a dictatorship. Don't you see? If we have a 'president', it would be just like a king. Same thing! This president would be just like our very own dictator, making rules and so on. We don't need rules!

If we then elected other people, like the so-called "American Democracy", it would turn into our scandalous, cheating, promise-breaking, capitalism-controlled government we have in America today. If Whyville had an anarchy, we would all have our freedoms, with simple, effective, NON-controlling censorship, and we wouldn't have a dictator, a government to oppress us, people to make rules for us, unfair elections, etc. We would all be happy, with no complaints. (Oh, and with this anarchy, we could have our oh-so-coveted freedom.)

But we all have to call for one thing to make this work: UNITY. One simple word, one simple solution. If we all unite, we win. No racism, no sexism, no anti-newbie, no anti-oldbie stuff. If we all accept each other for the way everyone is, it can work.

"If the kids are united, they will never be divided." (Oi polloi)

And a quote that goes for the wars in the MidEast, the wars in our neighborhoods, and for everything else we all stand for: "We all are human, it's time we PROVE it."(Anti-flag.)

Thank you for your time.
