We all know how life is one huge roller coaster, right? Personally, I think it resembles "Goliath" at Six Flags. You got your super highs, where it feels like you?re floating on air, which you kind of are, but then there are the lows. They make you feel like you have nothing left to live for.
Whether it's a break-up with longtime boyfriend/girlfriend, the death of a parent or sibling, or bullying, these lows can take you down farther than you've ever been before. Sometimes they can even kill you. You have to remember though that life won't always be about the lows. Whether it's 1,000 lows for every high you get or the exact opposite, you'll always have something to look forward.
It may be that guy/girl you've been waiting to get up the nerve to talk to but haven't because of the longtime boyfriend/girlfriend we talked about earlier, or it could be something as simple as waking up the next day. Just keep in mind that there will always be a better time waiting for you when you're at the very bottom of the roller coaster. You just need to remember to look up every once in a while to remind yourself that it's there.
In this world there are a lot people worse off than you, but I'm not telling you to suck it up because that won't do anything. I'm telling you to look up at these people rather than look down. If you look down all you're going to see is a black hole full of sadness and hopelessness waiting to take you down. Remember to look up at the sun, the moon, the stars, whatever is above your head at the moment, and look forward to whatever comes next. Eventually the downward spiral of the roller-coaster will stop, and you'll reach a middle ground where you can find peace. That's what you have to look forward to when everything's gone wrong.
