I'm pretty sure we all have heard about how the world is going to end in 2012. We don't know if it's true or not, because I'm sure none of us can see the future. None. I've always wondered if it's true or not. Many people think it isn't true because of the rumors in the past, which were all false. Nothing really happened on 1/1/2000 or 06/06/06, which were both the dates on which the end of the world was predicted.
Nostradamus is said to have predicted things such as: The French Revolution, Princess Diana's death, Atomic Bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, World War II/ Hitler, and the attacks on 9/11/01. According to a website, the doomsayers have always warned that Nostradamus always said that the world will end and that he was never wrong. And, the trendiest date of the world end prophecies is December 21st, 2012. So if the world has to end, it can end on this date. Or maybe not? Nostradamus himself wrote that his prophecies only went as far forward as the year 3797. Does that mean the world will end in the late 38th Century? Only time will tell.
None of us know what will happen either in the 40th Century or tomorrow. We can't see the future. We all have different opinions on how or when the world will end or not. I personally do believe that the world can end, but not so soon. Probably when we are out of coal, petroleum or when global warming has reached a really, really high level.
I don't agree on the fact that there is no life except on the Earth. We aren't yet so well developed that we can reach all the galaxies far away and search for life of any form. Maybe, many, many light-years away there is a galaxy or planet with life on it. There can be organisms that do not need water or oxygen to live. To them, maybe we are aliens? There can be some kind of life in this endless universe of ours. If there is not, does that mean if our world ends, there will be no life whatsoever in this vast universe? No life at all?
Of course all of us have different thoughts and opinions. Some say the world might end because the two major terrible things that have happened in the 2000's, the 9/11 attack and the Japan earthquake and tsunami, their dates add up to 12/22/2012 which is pretty near the predicted Apocalypse date.
The World End date is still a secret and we'll know only when it's really very near in my opinion. Scientists are trying to figure out all sorts of things for the world. Global warming is a growing issue and needs a rest. If you people really want to live your whole life instead of only one year more, all we can do is reduce it, because in my opinion, the world will end only due to global warming or something similar. We should all reduce our carbon footprint and plant more and more trees for it's good for all.
I really hope all of us live a happy and prosperous life and be far from the world end. The world may not end in 2012 and may end in 3797, no one knows. So let's just make our day better instead of worrying about next year. I wish you all a Happy New Year and well, Happy Holidays!
