Walking down the street,
I see so many unfamiliar faces.
Hearing step after step on the concrete,
Each person walking at different paces.

I looked around hoping to see an old friend,
No one in sight, no one to be found.
All I wanted was to make amends,
But you weren't there for me, you weren't around.

You moved on, but I never did.
We shared so many memories together;
All of which you hid.
Because of you, our friendship is lost forever.

Where do I go from here?
I never wanted to lose you in any way.
Do I act as if you were meant to disappear?
I wonder if you ever rue that day.

The day you left me behind,
The day you left me high and dry,
The day you left my side,
The day you didn't even bother to say good-bye.
