The only thing that matters is love.
How could the world function without it?
How could we go on?
Love is like
the first bite
of the ripest red apple;
oh how sweet.
Love is like
the first time
you rode a bike;
exhilarating.
Love is like
gazing up
at the heavenly bodies of stars;
full of wonder.
Love is like
a double-edged sword;
you cannot
avoid it.
Love is like
the night time sky;
full
of secrets.
Love is like
the algebraic equation;
it is
confusing.
Love is like
your dreams;
will it be a fantasy . . .
or a nightmare?
Love is like
the kitchen knife;
chopping you
until there is no more.
Love is like
the bear;
majestic,
but vicious.
Love is like
falling to your death;
a spiraling downfall
that only gets worse.
Love is like
the fiery stomach of a volcano;
once you go in,
you never come out.
Love is the lava
that will soon
consume you;
prisoner.
Love is you.
And I.
And everyone who falls
for its trap.
