Whyville, Boring??

Hey! This is LilDevil7! Well, lately I've been hearing a lot of my friends saying they hate Whyville now and that they hate the Why-Passes and Whyville waiting room. Well, guess what?? City Hall is just trying to make Whyville a more fun place.

I mean, if we didn't have a waiting room and it was just a blank page that said, "Whyville is too busy," like it used to be, I'm sure those people would STILL be complaining! You should be glad that Whyville took the time to make a waiting room for us!

There is lots to do, like read the paper, or buy/bid for a Why-Pass -- that way you wouldn't be waiting here in the waiting room! You can even check out the map to see where everybody is hanging so when you DO get on, then you can hop over there too!

And about Why-Passes! All I hear is, "Why-Passes are dumb! I'm not allowed to get one! That's not fair!" Well, guess what?? You would still be in the Waiting Room even if the Why-Passes were gone!!

They are just trying to help out some of the Whyvillians and Whyville! We need new servers so we can keep the site and run it so more people can get on at a time. It's that simple.

If the Why-Passes and waiting room aren't what bug you and you just think Whyville is plain boring, then why are you at Whyville reading this?!?

I think those are the major thing people complain about. Or maybe the fact that you have to wait 30 seconds before trying to get on again. Well, again, they are trying to help us!! If we didn't have that, somebody might be able to have a computer program try to hack your account, and they'd get your password pretty quickly! That wouldn't be very good!

If I had to choose, I would have to vote for Whyville to keep the WWR (Whyville Waiting Room), Why-Passes, and the 30 second thing! I love Whyville, and I really don't think you should be complaining about it. Next time you are about to complain to somebody, especially on Whyville about Whyville, please think first and keep your mouth closed so you don't hurt anybody, and most importantly, don't hurt Whyville!

This is Lildevil7... signing off!

I've heard many complaints about the waiting room. Some are pretty pathetic. "It's stupid," I hear. It's not really that stupid. It's actually because I was bored, waiting to get on, that I decided to become a Times Writer. Now I don't know if I will ever get that title, but a girl can dream, can't she? And if we didn't have this waiting room, all the rooms would be really crowded and Whyville would go super slow... for about five minutes! And then Whyville would CRASH and we'd lose tons of stuff from our accounts, all because people can't decide that getting in to Whyville is worth the price of an Extra Value Meal (tm). Or be patient, at least.

Instead of Complaining about it, why don't we try to improve it? Today we're limited and kept in the waiting room. You have to keep trying and trying to sign in until you get on but sometimes it's just not your lucky day. I have spent hours trying to get on. I think that if Whyville made it so when you first try to sign in, you actually WAIT in the waiting room until someone gets off and the person that was there first gets on it will be a lot more fair. There would be a list, and you'd have a pretty good idea of how long you had to wait. I personally hate having to type my name and password in multiple times. City Hall, can we do that?

That's all. More articles soon... (I hope!)
