Welcome back to a new edition of "Behind the Design"! This week, I am interviewing a well-known, famous, wonderful, talented designer . . . ICLEK1 aka Kelci! I am interviewing her on a part called Acoustic Kingdom. It is a guitar with black sleeves that perfectly fits any outfit you're wearing.
Hopeluvs: What inspired you to create the beautiful guitar?
Iclek1: Well, I had just started learning how to play the guitar, so I got inspired to make a guitar that looked like the one I was learning on.
Hopeluvs: How long did it take for you to create the guitar and the sleeves?
Iclek1: I can't remember too clearly, but I think it took a few hours on and off . . . like, I would draw for an hour one day, and an hour the next.
Hopeluvs: How do you create your designs so realistic?
Iclek1: I don't really know. I don't think about that too often, but I guess I just look at the details and try to replicate what I see the best I can.
Hopeluvs: Is it tough for you to shade?
Iclek1: Some things I find harder to shade than others, especially with the color choices Akbar gives.
Hopeluvs: How many designs have you created? Have you deleted any?
Iclek1: I've made around 52 face parts. I don't think I've ever deleted a face part, if I did it was many years ago.
Hopeluvs: When did you start designing?
Iclek1: I started designing in 06, but I quit Whyville for a few years and I started designing again once I rejoined.
Hopeluvs: What's the most popular design you've made?
Iclek1: Due to popular demand, I say my Overalls Set.
Kelci is a designer who has been on for many years, dedicated to designing and making Whyville look gorgeous. Most of her designs are rare, including the infamous overalls set. I hope you enjoyed this article, and see you next time on "Behind the Design"!
Author's Note: I wish the best of luck to you, Kelci. I know you quit Whyville, and we will all miss you.
