Welcome back to "Easter Eggs" where Pixar's tricks and hints are revealed. Today's article is going to focus on Easter Eggs from the movie "Finding Nemo". "Finding Nemo" was released in 2003, but includes hints that reveal information about movies that were released later on. It also features objects from past movies, and is filled with hidden information most people don't catch.
The first and most commonly noticed Easter Egg in "Finding Nemo" is when viewers are being shown the dentist office's waiting room, a Buzz Lightyear doll and a plane from "Toy Story" are shown near a toy chest.
There is a scene during "Finding Nemo" where a boy and his mother are waiting in the dentist's office. The mother is reading a newspaper, and the boy is reading a magazine that has Mr. Incredible from "The Incredibles" on it. The Incredibles would not come out until a year later. There is also a Highlight's magazine on the table.
Another Easter Egg that people have caught throughout the years is that in the dentist's office, there is a fish mobile hanging on the ceiling. This is the same mobile that is in Boo's room in "Monsters Inc".
One Easter Egg that is more "on the fence" about whether being an actual Egg or just a coincidence is that outside the window of the dentist's office, a yellow car zooms by. Some people say this car is Luigi from "Cars", which was released in 2006.
The last Egg, which is an obvious hint towards a past movie, is one where Mike Wazowski from "Monsters Inc" swims across the screen during the end credits.
"Finding Nemo" is definitely one of Pixar's more Egg-filled movies, but there are still plenty more Eggs to be cracked in other movies! Stay tuned next week for more Easter Eggs and the inside scoop on another hit movie.
