You found your way back. I don't know how, but you did it. I don't know why, but it happened. Most of all, I still don't understand why it had to happen in the first place. But it did.
It all started in the sixth grade. I just moved to the new school, and I didn't know anyone. But you took me under your wing, and helped me fit in with everyone else. We have had the strangest conversations, the best jokes, and the craziest memories. But then came along a new friend.
All of the sudden, you started hanging out with her more and more. I felt left out. I mean, sure, I had other friends, but none as good as you. I tried talking to you about it, but you sad nothing was wrong. Soon we got in a fight. Believe me, this wasn't a pretty fight. It seemed to last forever.
One day, I approached you about it. I was about to apologize because I thought this had gone on too long, but then you started apologizing to me. You felt so bad about it. I knew you were going to be a true friend to me from now on.
From then on, we were friends all the way on to the end of seventh grade. (Yes, we had a few fights, but none were very bad and they ended quickly.) I knew you found your way back into my heart. I thought we were never going to have a bad fight again.
But then, drama infected our group of friends. People started getting mad at each other, including me and you. This fight was even worse than our last. I swore we would never be friends again. I kept this promise to myself until the end of summer. Then you started feeling differently about our fight.
I checked my phone one day to find a huge apology from you. I wasn't sure how to react. I thought about it for several days. I got several more texts from you. I finally decided it was time to end this stupid fight.
I sent you a message telling you as long as we didn't have any more of these stupid fights. You agreed, and our friendship was back on track. It was a little shaky at first, but it grew stronger as the days went on.
You found your way back. I'm not sure how you did, but you did. You found your way back into my heart. And I am very glad that you did.
