There's a chill in the air, and football on TV. This is perfect writing weather!!
Here are this week's prompts.
It Was Only A Dream . . .
I've always been a very vivid dreamer. There are nights I wake up from a dream and it takes me a few minutes to realize that was I was just dreaming didn't actually happen. I'll be the first to admit, my nightmares can get so scary that I'll sometimes I have to turn on a light (and I'm 28!). Do you have vivid dreams? Do you write your dreams down? What do you think your dreams mean? Do some research on dreams and find out why and how we have them.
Face It
Halloween is just around the corner and one of my favorite parts of this holiday is pumpkin carving. No matter how elaborate or simple, carving a pumpkin is a fun activity. Do you carve pumpkins with your family or friends? What is the coolest carving you've done? Put together a "how to" on the best way to carve a pumpkin. Share your pictures of your favorite carved pumpkins.
The Countdown is On
If you are American you know that a very important date is in 1 month. The presidential election! We just had our first debate and the political ads are blowing up our TVs. This is not a prompt about political issues. Rather, this is a prompt about what happens leading up to an election. Do you follow the debates and read the candidate's websites? Do you listen to the political ads or think they are mostly made up? Have you or your family done any campaigning? Regardless of your political beliefs this is an important part of a democracy and our country. What are your thoughts on campaigns and how they can better inform the American people.
I really hope these prompts inspire you all this week. Let's keep up the hard work and make the Times the best it can be! Happy Writing!
