Dear City Founders,
I have decided to submit something for the poster contest, and seeing as I
am better at writing then creating a drawing or image, I have decided to
make my submission a written entry. And writing suits this entry very well.
Whyville has helped me with a lot of things, educationally and socially.
And my writing falls into both of those categories. I write a lot,
especially since I have joined Whyville. Seeing my articles get published encourages me to keep writing, which has helped me express my feelings, and I am a lot more honest about my feelings towards certain subjects now.
I have also realized the importance of being yourself since I joined Whyville. I used to care a lot what people thought about me, but just being me is a lot more fun! And if people don't like the real me, tough!
I used to hate science a lot. This is probably because, sadly enough, I learn my math by reading a French textbook that makes little or no sense because of the vocabulary. Hands-on games in Whyville have helped me to become a lot more interested in science and now I would like to become a Forensic Scientist. I think that a job like that really suits a person like me.
I think that there need to be more sites or places that support the same ideas as Whyville. The internet doesn't always have to be about chatting, and learning doesn't have to be obvious or boring. I think that is important. Thanks for your time.
