I took this photograph while visiting my grandparents in Memphis. My grandpa works at an apartment building, and he was able to take us on top of the roof to view the Mud Island 4th of July fireworks. This is one of the few that actually turned out. For obvious reasons, taking photos of fireworks can be very tricky! In order to get the picture, I switched between the fireworks setting on my camera and manually adjusting the shutter speed. If your camera doesn't have a fireworks setting (which sometimes won't give you the effect you desire), try changing your shutter speed to a couple of seconds. This way, the camera can capture the trails that the firework leaves behind. Also, do not forget to use a tripod; this is the most important thing to have so your picture won't be shaky!!
