The giraffe is an animal I would describe as"?groovy". The giraffe eating leaves in this photo is very groovy. I took this photo at a zoo on a school trip around two or three years ago. That day I was lucky enough to be able to feed this giraffe and discovered giraffe tongues feel like slimy sandpaper. Most of the other students feeding the giraffe thought it was icky but personally I found the giraffe's dull purple colored tongue emerging from its mouth to lick my hand amusing. I was doubled over in laughter by the end of it while everyone else was trying to wipe their hands off on their friends' shoulders. What I like best about this photo is how the background beyond the enclosure looks similar to the African Savannah.
