This was a picture I managed to take in the pouring pain close to the end of the Painted Desert in Arizona. It's called the painted desert because of the different colors in the different layers that you can see. This doesn't show a lot of the colors, but if you went through it you would see reds, browns, and even some blueish grays. On the second photo there are pieces of petrified wood that is in the park too. Petrified wood is wood that is very, very old and has turned to stone.
