Have you ever wanted to write a story, but don't really have the patience to go through with it? TwitterFiction might just be for you.

All you need is a story that is 140 characters or less, and there you have it. One thing to keep in mind is that spaces, and punctuations DO count as characters, so there is less room then you think.

When I first heard of this form of writing, I was pondering over how people could write an actual story in such a small limit. I can't have a complete story under two pages, much less that tiny little space.

I decided to use the hashtag and see some previous work. From doing this, I found out I was right to be skeptical of such short stories. Due to the limit, the stories do one of two endings.

They either trail off leaving you with an infinite amount of possibilities:

Or they rush to finish, and you find yourself left with an abrupt ending:

Which leads us to another method some writers are using, which certainly isn't conventional. When I say this, I'm referring to the sneaky little buggards who continue their story to multiple tweets. I speak for myself when I say it shatters the whole purpose of Twitter Fiction.

The best part of the form of writing is that you have to challenge your brain to write something that will fit within the restrictions set upon you. And for those of you who plan on going into writing, this style will help you realize what words are excess and can be thrown away.

So without further ado, I present my awful story for your poor eyes to behold:
