I remember that one expression you wore upon your face
Your smile was something that all these fights cannot erase

I can see us walking hand-in-hand through the wintery park
The purity of the whiteness penetrates this gloomy dark

I once knew a person whose eyes lit up when they saw me
They're an old memory, but a glimmer of hope, for your eyes that seem so empty
I recall the first time you kissed me under the starry sky
The moment floods through my brain when I'm tempted to cry
I fell in love with someone who made me feel complete
I picture them when I feel our marriage has reached defeat

I always go back to that special time, that beautiful wedding day
Forever seems so long right now, but I hope we'll find a way

I see all the problems we get through and it makes me wonder how
But I'm willing to continue working, and I'm willing to right now
