Ever since we were newbies on Whyville, we loved entering BCs! What's a BC, you ask? "BC" stands for "beauty contest" which is a beauty pageant on Whyville hosted by one or more Whyvillians, who judge the contestants based on their faces and inner personalities. Beauty contests usually have multiple rounds with different themes. We have seen how excited Whyvillians become when a BC is advertised in the chatroom or the BBS, and we know that a lot of Whyvillians love participating in beauty contests just as much as we do. So, we thought, why not host the biggest beauty contest that Whyville has ever seen?! Without further ado, we introduce to you the first-ever Miss Whyville Pageant!!
What is the Miss Whyville Pageant?
The Whyville Pageant is the biggest beauty contest on Whyville!!
Where is it?
Unlike other beauty contests on Whyville, this beauty contest will be held through a series of articles published in the Whyville Times!
When is it?
We are going to publish the Miss Whyville Pageant as a series of articles for the next few weeks.
How is this going to work?
- All the contestants will nominate themselves by y-mailing either holiday50 or ocean10kv.
- In the second article, we will show the contestants' faces. The readers will vote for the contestant with the most beautiful face in the BBS. The contestant with the lowest votes will be eliminated.
- In the third article, the remaining contestants will dress up in a new theme. Readers will vote for the contestant with the best theme in the BBS. The contestant with the lowest votes will be eliminated.
- In the last article, the contestant with the most votes will become the first-ever Miss Whyville!
- Throughout the series, we will also send the contestants a questionnaire to fill out. This is so the readers can judge them based on their personalities too.
Who can participate? (Rules for contestants)
1. ONLY GIRLS can enter the pageant. This series is a brand new idea that has never been done before so to make it easier on the hosts, we have decided to include girls ONLY. Later during the year, we will have a pageant for boys.
2. To nominate yourself, y-mail either holiday50 or ocean10kv BY Friday March 15th. Late entrants will *NOT* be accepted!!
3. Second accounts CANNOT enter the pageant. To prevent people from entering with multiple accounts, we will check to make sure accounts are at least 20 days old.
4. As mentioned above, each week the contestants will have to dress up as a new theme (for example, animal). We understand that people change their looks a lot on Whyville. So, every WEDNESDAY contestants have to dress up as the theme FOR THE WHOLE DAY. This is so we can take a screenshot of the contestants' faces for the article. After we take a screenshot, we will y-mail the contestants and tell them that they can change their faces.
THEMES
1. Every week there will be a new theme.
2. Every Wednesday the contestants must dress for the theme. During Wednesday, we will take a picture of the contestants' faces for the article. When we are done taking the picture, we will y-mail the contestants so they can change their looks.
3. Every week, readers can suggest themes and vote for the theme they want the contestants to dress up as.
VOTING
1. The readers will vote for the person with the best look. They will post their votes in the BBS. The person with the lowest votes will be eliminated.
2. Contestants cannot vote for themselves or for other contestants.
3. The accounts that vote MUST BE at least 20 days old. This is to make sure that no one creates new accounts to vote for themselves or their friends.
DISQUALIFICATIONS
Contestants will be disqualified for the following reasons:
- Voting for themselves on the BBS
- Bribing people to vote for them
- Acting against Whyville's rules on the BBS
- Not replying to a weekly e-mail -- If either holiday50 or ocean10kv y-mail you, you *MUST* reply as soon as possible. We understand that Whyvillians have a real life too so we will send you multiple y-mails as a reminder; however, if you take an unreasonable amount of time to reply, you will be disqualified.
**Please note that more rules may be added throughout the pageant.**
PRIZE
The prize is $1,000,000 clams. The only reason this prize will change is if it increases!
